About The Outriders Cycle Club
The Outriders Cycle Club is essentially a social cycling club, with its main goal being to increase awareness and promote cycling as a means of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
Beyond cycling, we give back to our community by supporting initiatives. Through our club activities and the support of our members, it is our mission to assist less advantaged communities and support worthy charities wherever we can.
Since May 2002, we have proudly been part of the cycling community, celebrating years of cycling and friendship.
Today, the club continues to welcome cyclists of all ages and abilities, with an emphasis on social riding, camaraderie and riding safely.
Weekend rides start/leave from: Opposite Le Petit Cafe,
Sandown Road, West Beach @ 07:30.

Fundraisers
We are constantly looking for ways of raising funds for worthwhile charities. Our largest fundraiser so far has been The Outriders Cycling Club’s THE WEST COAST EXPRESS league and fun ride.
Over the years we have donated nearly R 500 000 to our various charities, of which some of our beneficiaries have been The Lions Club, Rotary, The Cape Kidney Association, The Emanuel Day Care Centre, Disaster Management, Boy’s Town, The Hurdy Gurdy House, Afrika Tikkun, St Lukes, and The Red Cross Children’s Hospital burns unit.
Our commitment to giving back continues at Christmas, when we hold our annual Charity Ride. A charitable organisation is selected 100% of the funds raised is donated directly to that organisation.
Importantly, our fundraising initiatives are driven and funded by our members. We receive no assistance from government or the National Lottery, with our charitable contributions made possible through the generosity, commitment and participation of the Outriders community.
